The Broadway Musical HOT FEET

Review: The Stepp Stewart Show " Video Podcast www.steppstewart.com
Show: Hot Feet Opening: April 30th 2006 On Broadway
Location: The Hilton Theatre 42nd St.

The new Earth Wind & Fire inspired Broadway bound musical, Hot Feet, Directed by the legendary Maurice Hines is a must see. This show grooves with dance energy from some of the hardest working young dancers on Broadway. The choreography is athletic, sensual, fresh, and innovative. The physically stunning, Vivian Nixon, makes her mark on Broadway this season, dancing with a passion not seen since we saw her mother, Debbie Allen, dance the role of (Anita) in the revival of West Side Story in the 80's. Wynonna Smith is hilarious and sexy as Naomi, a diva who is constantly trying to prove that she's still got it. Also the stern voice of Tony Award winner, Ann Duquesnay (Noise/Funk), once again resonates throughout the theatre. As a true Earth Wind and Fire fan, I hope they can find a way to add more of the groups hit songs into the show, but you will enjoy the opening dance extravaganza, "Boogie Wonderland", "After The Love Is Gone" and "Can't Hide love", delivered by the brilliant Keith David (Jelly's Last Jam). The show has sex appeal, and lends a question of choices to as yourself following the performance...... Would you choose fame if it meant losing everything else?
